Soaring Sky is based on a rare antique sample of an early Han Dynasty Jian. Soaring Sky is a 1:1 recreation of a true Han Dynasty 8 sided blade.
This sword represents a bridge between the 8 sided blade Chu Jian to the later 4 sided blade Han Jian.
Soaring Sky has the regal eight sided cross-section inherited from Chu Jian with the long and slender profile of a classic Han Jian.
Eight sided Han Jian is rare and mostly find in tombs of royal family members and senior court officials.
The hilt has a rhomboid cross section profile for accurate edge alignment.
Soaring sky has a 20 cm (7.8") handle and is primarily a single handed sword with the option of using 2 hands in certain techniques.
