Gourd Shape Spear was an iconic spear widely in use since the Song dynasty to the 20th century.  The dagger like hourglass shape tip with one or two reinforcement knobs give this spear a distinct appearance.  The Gourd Shape Spear was popular among military, rebels and civilian guards .
