SNOW LION battle JIAN - EARLY MING DYNASTY (1368 AD)

Snow Lion is an early Ming dynasty battle sword with influence and iconography of a Mongol  Jian.  The straight iron hand guard have a high relief of a Tibetan Snow Lion.

Snow Lion, an auspicious creature of the Mongol imperial region, the Tibetan Buddhism, represent the strength and power in the snowy kingdom of Tibet.

The blade have the typical Ming Dynasty duck tongue tip, which was design for slicing action by the tip.  The blade have a bulging diamond cross section which increase stiffness of the blade for its the armor piercing ability while maintaining a functional sharp edge.

We perfected the fit and finish of our swords and the final assembly is meticulously performed by our senior craft masters.  It takes a skill craftsman one whole working day to assemble our sword to a precision fit.
